My handsome boy~

The furry thing napping at his favourite spot… beside the toilet bowl. 
He’s now 8 months old! Time flies so fast.
His repertoire of skills has expanded over the months to include:
- Pooping and peeing outside of the home – yay for no cleaning kitty waste!
- Dipping his paws into the water fountain in my living room then licking them clean – effectively “washing his hands”.
- Flushing the toilet repeatedly for fun.
- Climbing up the horizontal bars of my front door metal gate.
- On alternate Saturdays, when my neighbour has a barbeque with a whole gang of people at a playground near my house, it is reported that Handsome is a regular guest.
- Manja-ing as many people as he possibly can for food – he now has about 5 different people who are in charge of feeding him different meals of different varieties.
On a typical day, he has home cooked rice and meat for breakfast from an auntie, canned tuna for tea from a teenage girl, bread for supper from an ah pek, and random chicken wings (sometimes drumsticks) from people who just find him cute.

If you remember my emo nemo blog post on 14 March, you would know that I gave away the kitten to an adopter. I was wondering if it was the right decision. Turns out it was a horrible decision and I paid my karma very shortly afterwards.
Shall not say too much about the adoptee’s family but the kitten was looking very frail, thin & scared when I decided to take him back 2 weeks after. And he seemed so grateful that I went back for him that he immed fell asleep in the cat carrier after I put him in. Haha sigh.
Well the mum has relented (and is also pretty heartbroken that he suffered so much in 2 weeks), and he is now an official part of the family. 
His name’s Handsome! The bf & I have this system of naming “our” pets… it started with
- Emily (our hall cat),
- Felicia (another hall cat),
- G was supposed taken up by Kitty but no one could think of a decent cat name that started with G so he just remained Kitty
- H for Handsome!
Anyway he is just a very cute & furry lil thing… and he’s on great terms with both his older brothers now so all is good!! He spends most of his time pouncing on Kitty & chewing on his head, or hugging Maomao’s legs & occassionally suckling it. *facepalm*

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mask Review

Today I left work at 5:45pm, reached home at 6:30, had dinner and then went to bed.
The feeling is how shiok ok! The next question you should be asking is then why on earth am I awake and blogging now at 1:08am. The answer is… that I forgot to remove my earrings… so my ears pain la. *cue anti-climatic sound*
Anyway since I was awake, decided to try the mask Coleen kindly sent me! Have it on my face now as I’m typing, hehe.
This one! Before I write anything I think I should say that I was not paid to do this so this is a review, not an advertorial.
So I mean it when I say I really love it! I’m not sure how much it costs but dammit I’m gonna stop being a cheapo & solely using My Beauty Diary masks. –_-“
The texture is really interesting! It’s like this netted thingy… aiya a photo would do better than me in describing texture. Nar:
Cool right!? And the netted thing feels really different from the usual sheet masks; it feels like the mask adheres to my skin more & just generally feels better than the normal type!
Ok going to take the mask off… (this sounds damn emo)
Hmm overall I think:
- Hydrating effect is good; my skin feels much more supple & smooth. The skin on the side of my face was a bit rough, now it’s powdery smooth hehe.
- The essence doesn’t have the slightly sticky texture that some masks have… which is nice! Just barely 5 mins after I took the mask off, the essence has fully been absorbed n my skin feels completely non-sticky.
- Not much brightening effect… then again it’s not a whitening mask.
I would probably use this alternately with a whitening/brightening mask…heh can’t wait to try the rest of the range!

I’m happy to announce that 1) The small kitten has a name now; he’s called Handsome. 
2) Him & Kitty are friends and 3) My mummy heart soft and agree to keep him already.
Ehehehehe my evil plans… *rubs palms together* they haz succeeded!
The butterfly effect

Few times do we realize the impact and effects of the small decisions that we make. Just like this, I’ve decided the fate and life of the small kitten above, as well as my life, for the next 10-15 years.
I know it has just been 2 weeks, but in these 2 weeks he has managed to paw his way into my heart, deeper than I thought.
I couldn’t help crying as I looked at his face when the adopters took him away. I wondered if I made the right choice…
I wonder if he would think I was abandoning him. I wonder if he felt lost, and didn’t know what was going on. I wonder if he thinks that it’s only going to be a while; I was definitely coming back for him soon.
He was sleeping peacefully and soundly when they arrived. I woke him up, put him in a box and he stared at me trustingly, not knowing what was going on. And while they were going away, he was desperately trying to get out of the box while looking at me.
It was super, super painful. 
But I can’t keep him. If I was the one taking care of him, I could still have a say in this decision. But my mum is the one doing 90% of the work while I’m in the office… and she says no. So… this is it I guess.
I hate goodbyes.
