Blockquote Done

Phew. A teeny weeny graphic done. Hehe.

My blockquote! I wanted to follow the old blockquote shape, i.e. the crescent shaped one, but it turns out that I can’t draw that for shizz so it became a thought bubble instead.

Ah but isn’t it whimsical. Something doesn’t feel right about it though. Oh well. When I get an epiphany I’ll change it. For now it’ll remain as a thought bubble.

 

Update @ 11:03pm: Hokays I would say it’s 75% complete nao! For memory’s sake, this is how the pge currently looks:

In addition to the blockquote image, tonight  I did:

  1. Wood-inspired design for the navi bar (by accident but turns out wood matches the theme)
  2. Sidebar headers (in carpet texture)
  3. Search box colour (to olive green)
  4. Made the header image’s yellow tape & blue button overlap onto the post section.

Still have the date tab (the out of place grey thing), navi bar hovering colours, link colours, comment bar… Hmm actually I realize there is still lots to go. Bah.

Header

I’m halfway through with the layout overhaul.

Did the header graphic in the afternoon (I think it’s pretty!), and went to my cousin’s farewell dinner till 10 plus. From then till now I re-categorized my 561 posts. Ohmygod. I need some sort of a reward for this…

Like perhaps macaroni with cream sauce… *eyes kitchen* Or McDelivery. But nah, delivery takes too long!

And I should stop eating senselessly. >.<

In any case the layout is still not complete yet. I have to figure out a way to make the design look less metallic… Or I can always cheat and say that the contrast between the cute background and the metallic elements shows my personality. Hahaha.

If you are seeing this theme now I’m in the midst of making the graphics hehe.

Going to majorly revamp the layout. Including reorganizing all the post categories FML.

Not that this theme isn’t awesome but the serious techy look really isn’t for me. :P

Snapshot_20100731_1At TCC Nafa. 

Taken with my new Fujitsu Lifebook MH330! :) They have this nifty photo neoprint-reminiscent program installed. Haha.

Bought it from Sim Lim yesterday at $509 with microsoft wireless mouse! Birthday present for myself. :P

Not too shabby I think. The cheapest we saw was a HP Mini going for $399 but it was a N2801.66GHz  processor. This one has a N450 1.66GHz.

Honestly I don’t know if the number after the ‘N’ makes a significant difference but… eh oh well.

It’s the lightest one around (or at least among those that we saw) at 1.1kg with 3-cell batt.

It’s also a pretty lil thing:

I think the photo below looks better than the stock photo though:

Hahahah I mean look! The people at Fujitsu should seriously consider paying me for the rights to put that photo on their website or something. Or print it in their brochures. Or frame it and hang it in their stores.

It’s 3:40am and I can’t sleep!! And I need to be at Orchard at 10:30 later… gah.

I hope someone adopts the kitten soon!! Not because I am desperate to get rid of it as someone suggested or that there’s a catch (it’s a KITTEN – what catch could there be! wtf?), but because I really have no time and no space for another cat in my small home.

I can’t afford sleepless nights & staying alert 24/7 to make sure Maomao, Kitty & the new kitten gets along. I didn’t sleep properly for almost 2 weeks when Kitty first came, and now that I’m working, that is simply not an option anymore.

And of course, it’s exponentially harder for kittens to find homes as they grow older. So it’s best for him (and for me) that he finds a good home asap!

It’s adapting really well now. Still kinda scared when it sees the other furballs, but he’s coping like 10x better than Kitty! Btw I rarely refer to dogs/cats as it (I prefer him/her), but I have no clue what gender it is… so… =\

Oh and I’m kinda glad that I have the bf’s DSLR with me. I think it helps that the kitten’s photos are awesome and brings out his cuteness which increases his adoptability.

Oh and I managed to take a self-shot with the bf’s DSLR. Haha milestone!! It’s hard to hold it with one hand can! Frickin heavy!!

Feeling hungry and restless. But mac will take too long, and by the time I finish eating, I will regret 1) Not sleeping, 2) Spending $.
