This is the swatch for OPI California Raspberry! My first red polish!

Colour
I would describe the red as a very rich, well raspberry shade (duh). Depending on what clothes you match it with, the overall vibe it gives can be very Spring (think emerald green and florals), Summer (think yellow sundresses and flipflops), Autumn (think brown trench coats) or Winter (think sleighbells and fireplaces!).

In short, it’s super versatile.

Finish
There is a sheen to it but it’s not shimmery or glittery at all. Kind of pearlescent…

Overall
It’s a pretty good red to try if you’ve never worn red polish before and are afraid that it may look too mature/harsh/unflattering. The shade of red looks vibrant without being tacky.

I would think it suits most fair skintones.

One of the most highly raved eye colours from Everyday Minerals, and rightfully so! This colour is a beautiful mix of olive and gold. Reminds me of grecian goddesses heh. And goes perfectly with asian skintones.

I’m super bored so I’m going to swatch some colours I have! Just tried pressing my mineral shadows for the first time a couple of days ago, n it was like reliving art class all over again, except that it was actually fun.

I’m shocked that I have this few eyeshadows too. Not to worry, I already bought 3 more after evaluating my plight hur hur. And it looks kinda messy on the photo but oh well. It feels uber cool to be able to see all my colours at a shot.

Only half of the above are mineral shadows, and I’ve swatched 3 of them. All are swatched dry. Photos taken in flourescent lighting, no flash. First, we have:

EDM Silver Bells

It’s a super pigmented, shimmery silver shadow with some blue and gold specks. It’s more of a cool silver.

EDM Butterfly Kisses

I completely fell in love with the yellow once I saw it, although I had no clue how to use this colour (still don’t). It’s a feathery, buttery shade of yellow that’s has a hint of cream in it.

Finally, we have:

EDM Pink Snowflakes

Had to adjust the white balance of the photo a little cos the pink refused to show up. This is a very shimmery baby pink colour. Great as a brow highlighter and for corners of your eye. Doesn’t really work as a base colour for me (although I bought it with that purpose in mind), cos it made my entire eyelid sparkle n a bad highschooldisaster way.

Yup, that’s all for this post. Can’t wait for my new colours to arrive so that I can press them!

So I tried on Sun Showers by China Glaze, and this is how it looks:

Meh. I’m not sure if I like it. I expected it to look brighter. More creme, less shimmer. And more victorian yellow, less… egyptian gold? I don’t know.

Maybe I didn’t put enough coats of it, or I painted them too hastily…

Miss Choy and I spent close to 4 hours in Bella-Kini last Sunday, and I got these:

Wanted to get only 2 things, but there was a buy 3 get 1 free thingy going on, soo… sigh. Anyway, they’re 2 tube dresses and 1 bikini. I love the bikini!

So pretty, hehe. Will be wearing it in Redang, woot!

The pictures don’t really do the colour justice. It’s like a deep rose mauve shade in real life. I have it on my toenails too, and it matches my birks perfectly. *happy sigh*
