Tried this today, and giving it a thumbs up! It works well to exfoliate, the flakes feel soft and not harsh on my skin, and it’s easy to rinse off, and my skin feels smooth and clean afterwards!
It does drag the skin just a tad more than the Cure Aqua Gel, but it’s nothing that can’t be offset with gentler fingers.
It may be a bit too early to say this, but I’m considering replacing my Cure Aqua Gel holy grail, given how well this works.
Overall Rating: (5 / 5) Pros: Exfoliates well, gentle on skin, easy to rinse off. Cons: None yet!
Today I cut my own hair successfully with help from this Youtube video!
I’ve been cutting my own bangs for almost a year now, thanks to one too many hair salon disappointments. Haven’t gotten around to cutting the rest of my hair myself before, because I was scared that it would be too difficult.
I’ve obviously underestimated myself! Tee hee.
I even managed a blunt cut with long layers and everything, y’all. No more going to the hairdresser full of hope, and then coming out with an empty pocket and disaster hair.
I mean, would you just look at this!?
This monstrosity…. I paid $300 for this disaster of a haircut, along with a nonexistent “C-curl” perm and some “root perm” scam. LUL. Why don’t you just rob me instead.
For the record, this was how my hair was like before the cut. I’m no hair maestro, but I think my hair before the cut was infinitely better than afterwards, right!?
Anyway, that was in Feb 2014, and it marked the last time that I would trust anyone else to cut my hair.
And now that I know for sure I can give myself a full haircut, yay!
Oh and that bit about saving money? Double yay!
Usually I shy away from anything with green tea, or in general, green… simply because usually, this colour/ingredient indicates that it’s for people with oily skin, and I have skin that is on the drier side.
Fortunately, thanks to being given a free sample, I got to give this a go and I’m happy to say that I like it quite very much!
The serum feels lightweight, not too heavy, and after it was absorbed, my skin felt supple, hydrated and balanced. I did not use any moisturiser on top of this as it would have been too much for my skin, so I can’t comment on how it works with other products.
It did take a while to fully absorb (around 15-20 minutes) in the afternoon heat/humidity, but I imagine that the time would be a lot shorter in dryer and colder countries.
Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out!
Overall Rating: (4 / 5) Pros: Hydrating, skin feels supple and fresh, smells nice. Cons: Takes a while to absorb.
Tried this twice over the past week, and unfortunately it didn’t do much for me.
While I wouldn’t say it’s dehydrating or bad per se, it definitely doesn’t behave like a sleeping pack, which should be more nourishing and hydrating than a regular moisturiser.
My skin feels slightly parched when I wake up in the morning, much like when I don’t put anything on my face before I go to sleep.
Having used the Laneige Sleeping Pack before, I was expecting my skin to feel similarly hydrated and supple.
I still have a good bit of my sample to go before it’s finished, but I’m going to just toss it…
Overall Rating: (2 / 5) Pros: Skin feels somewhat hydrated, maybe? Cons: Not hydrating enough.
