A lil something I made for brunch this morning! Ha… half a success I think?

Pancakes were made from scratch following a recipe online. They were supposed to turn out super fluffy but um… it just looked normal. The taste was not bad though I think? For presentation points, I added a small saucer of honey instead of directly drizzing it over the pancakes. Haha.

I wanted to have them with whipped cream and blueberries BUT apparently I suck at whipping cream and completely overestimated myself. It became curdled butter instead and I had to bin the entire half cup of it away. Oh well.

Scrambled eggs were fantastic as usual but nothing to shout about… they’re just eggs. Sprinkled parmesan cheese over them for extra kick!

Fresh baby spinach salad to have something “lighter” in the meal and also add some greens. Didn’t bother with dressing cos I wanted to save time and they already tasted pretty good by themselves!

Overall I give myself around 6/10 points. It turned out ok and had a “homely feel” but actually I was aiming for something more exquisite hahaha. So in that sense it was kind of a failure. Hopefully I’ll improve next time!

    YAY!

Pancakes! To make really lovely pancakes, it’s good to let the batter of milk + egg + flour sit for about 20 minutes before adding in the melted butter and frying. Sounds simple, but its really tasty that way. You can also add a bit of lemon zest for an extra zing :-D
