I dunno what’s gotten into me but all I feel like doing these few days is cook. But part of the drive is fuelled by the fact that the ingredients I bought are going to expire soon. Ha.
Anyway I had a food-revelation. Pizza is really easy to make. Who’d ever guess!?
All that really needs to be done is chopping the ingredients! Throw them on the base, throw it into the oven for 15 mins, and it’s good to go!
In fact, it’s so easy to make, that upon starving when reaching home last night, I decided to make a pizza instead of a sandwich. Le gasp!

I’m not going to beat about the bush or waddle about because that just makes things more awkward than they have to be. Deep breaths everyone; this is a post about washing your vagina.
While it borders on stating the obvious, washing your vagina is really necessary.
Lactacyd Intimate is a gentle and moisturizing feminine hygiene wash that is suitable for daily use. It contains natural active ingredients (milk extracts), e.g. lactic acid, which is produced naturally by your body to protect your intimate area.
After using this for about a month now, I have to say that I like it a lot. The milky texture feels really soothing on my skin. It also feels very gentle and moisturising.
But the real showstopper for me, is this:
When I’m out for an entire day, how often have I wished that there was a way to keep clean and fresh down there!
It’s especially disgusting during that time of the month, or when it’s a hot and humid day. Haha sorry for the disturbing visuals but it is true. Girls aren’t always rainbows and fresh mint!
I have contemplated using normal wet tissue, but I couldn’t bring myself to cos that’s way too harsh on delicate skin. I just helplessly tolerated the icky feeling.
My prayers have been answered in the form of a 12cm x 6cm packet of feminine wipes. As you can tell from the packet’s tattered look, I’ve been bringing it with me everywhere.
I was a tiny bit worried that it might irritate my skin but it didn’t at all. It is truly bliss, to be able to feel freshly cleaned, bacteria-free and odour-free whenever, wherever! :)

Discovery. No matter how early I sleep, I wake up at the same time on weekdays.
I think it has something to do with my (lack of) motivation to proceed with the day’s (unexciting) activities.
Haaiii. 人生!

Update on 27 Sept 2011 (1 day later): Discovery #2. It appears that no matter how early I wake up, I still leave my house at the same time. SIGH.
Attempt #2 for brunch goodness! I think I improved a bit! Hehe.
The previous time, I was quite stressed out cos there was a hungry man (read: the bf) who kept reminding me every 15mins that he’s hungry… and that never helps anything. This morning I woke up at 9am so that the food would be ready by the time he’s up!
2 dishes for this meal… first, caesar salad:
I’m quite proud of this! Cos I made the dressing and croutons from scratch myself. And I think the presentation was quite nice. Hehehe.
The bf said that the croutons were awesome. /giggle
And the dressing! Amazingly, it tasted… well… like caesar salad dressing. Might sound like a non-statement but I was completely expecting it to fail. Used this recipe btw! Minus the Worcestershire sauce cos didn’t want to spend on a bottle of that just to use 1 tablespoon for the dressing. Saving $$$ remember?
One last look at the salad in detail:
*Happy sigh*
Next…
No name for this cos it’s pretty much a self-creation. I know that it looks horrid, but by the time i was done with the salad, I’ve exhausted all my determination to make food look good.
This is basically pasta, in tomato basil cream sauce with bacon and onions. It’s perfect comfort food material and really easy to put together.
A lil something I made for brunch this morning! Ha… half a success I think?
Pancakes were made from scratch following a recipe online. They were supposed to turn out super fluffy but um… it just looked normal. The taste was not bad though I think? For presentation points, I added a small saucer of honey instead of directly drizzing it over the pancakes. Haha.
I wanted to have them with whipped cream and blueberries BUT apparently I suck at whipping cream and completely overestimated myself. It became curdled butter instead and I had to bin the entire half cup of it away. Oh well.
Scrambled eggs were fantastic as usual but nothing to shout about… they’re just eggs. Sprinkled parmesan cheese over them for extra kick!
Fresh baby spinach salad to have something “lighter” in the meal and also add some greens. Didn’t bother with dressing cos I wanted to save time and they already tasted pretty good by themselves!
Overall I give myself around 6/10 points. It turned out ok and had a “homely feel” but actually I was aiming for something more exquisite hahaha. So in that sense it was kind of a failure. Hopefully I’ll improve next time!
