Renew Rose Hip Oil

I bought this in Jan 2011, hoping that it will lighten the fugly scars on the back of my thighs (caused by some allergic reaction to dunno what at Botanic Gardens).

This is my review 4½ months later. Long story short, this does not work. Period.

Smell: Distinct, doughnut-like scent (really).

Colour: Bright orangey yellow. Will stain clothes if you do not wait for oil to be absorbed before getting dressed.

Effectiveness: Nonexistent. With all the online articles waxing lyrical about the benefits of rose hip oil, I really expected more than this. I don’t like the oily texture, and afterwards my skin doesn’t feel as soft as it does after I apply body lotion. What gives? It didn’t help with lightening my scars either.
