Yet another weekend

I seem to be on a streak of blogging 1 week late… actually scratch that. I just have a habit of blogging late. Eh scratch that again. Aiya I am late for everything.

Pretty vintagey cabinet! Want one of these in my room next time.

We had Soup Spoon for dinner again! Upgraded the bun to a naan, haha. It was yums. Trashes Al-Ameen’s, which is sad cos it’s kind of like having a random Egyptian dude who can cook char kway teow better than the uncle downstairs.

Said naan and soup.

Oh and my attempt at “photography”:

The end! :)

Taiwan – Day 6 of 8

The temperature got warmer as we travelled southward, so I started wearing less. At this point, I would like to point out that the tour guide we had was an ass. Not only was he solely profit driven, he described the sites very minimally and fawned over people who bought things. Goodness.

Anyway, he failed to warn us that we were going to visit some cave today, which was going to be freezing cold.

Me freezing in a thin dress, calf length stockings and the mum trying to keep me alive.

Some temple thing across the quarry.

IMG_2648
Hot coffee that cost a bomb. Suspect that tour guide deliberately ommitted the freezing temp and profited from the hot drink sales.

IMG_2654
Mum very happy after jewelry factory visit. (One of the many factories that we went… for the tour guide’s commission, of course.)

Mum and her new sapphire necklace. She can’t stop herself when she sees jewelry, haha.

Interesting treehouse!

If you have been reading my Taiwan posts all the way so far, it would seem that it was a gloomy and miserable trip, but it wasn’t all that bad, really.

Sure, the accom sucked. The travelling sucked. The tour guide sucked. The “scenery” sucked. The weather sucked. The factory and temple visits sucked.

But the boyfriend was there, and that alone made things ok. (Although I’m sure that it would have been so much better without all the minus points.)

Almost like winter

Last weekend was spent buying atas specs for the bf at some atas place near Raffles City. Cost him $800+. I heart pain for his wallet but he says it’s an investment… mmkays.

This guy feels rich.

We went to Soup Spoon for dinner after numerous pokes from me about it. I don’t think he was as hyped up about having soup for dinner as I was (I soup spoon deep deep), but that’s just cos he’s indifferent to food in general. Everything seems to be a differently-priced bowl of bak chor mee to him. Ha… T_T

Drinking stew and chunky creamy soups always makes me feel like it’s wintertime and I’m having warm soup while it’s snowing outside or something hee. It feels very comforting. 我喜欢!

Chicken cassarole soup.

Other than the soups, I love is their caesar salad. Quite honestly, it’s not as good as those I’ve had at other places… but eh… oh well?

Not *the* yums but still yums.

The meat jerky bits may have something to do with it. Ps. Photo of soup was taken with my camera, and salad with bf’s DSLR. The difference makes me feel like throwing my camera away. T_T

Photo below is for teh lulz. Completely unacceptable expression when all I’m doing is looking at my bowl of soup.

My expression is of genuine confusion wtf. With a dash of incredulity. I seem to be saying to the soup,

o.O …zhun bo.

(Singlish translation: Har sure or not. Mai lai. English translation: Seriously? Chinese translation: 真的吗…)

In other news, allow me to introduce the third wheel in our relationship. The camera zzz.

IMG_4955The look of blissful unawareness of my death stare.

That’s how he looks like on our dates nowadays.

Ok ええと (aftermath of one too many animes), the rest of the photos are what we call Miscellaneous.

I’m extremely ready to abandon reality to live in animeland with Mr. Hibari Kyoya over here.
