Ok this Singapore Blogger’s Association or whatever rubbish is killing me. Stop me from falling off the chair laughing, someone. Please!

First of all, why blogging need association!? Apparently, because…. err… the leader of this group proclaims that:

[Singaporean bloggers were] easily manipulated and even banned for standing up against the foreign tyrant from self-proclaimed ‘community meta weblog for Singapore bloggers’.

Oh were we? *jumps in shock* The horror! Can anyone say V for Vendetta?

Secondly, (and this may offend some) isn’t it slightly ironic the committee is made up of bloggers that er, don’t really have “succesful” blogs? Success is subjective of course, but I’m sure no one can really argue that they aren’t exactly high profile bloggers.

It’s almost like a Runners Association of Singapore made up of flabby people who can’t be bothered to exercise.

Thirdly, Lau Auntie simply scares the heck out of me lah.

Fourthly, don’t think you can just give them a chance and join the association to see how okay. That chance would cost you a hundred (and ten) buckaroos. That’s right.

$110 to join this dunno-pop-out-from-where association.

Disclaimer: I have nothing personal against the committee members – I actually like most of them as you know, people (except perhaps Lau Auntie, who seems slightly deranged and a whole lotta BITTER from her blog posts etc.), but aiyo, an association? Really?
