Heart pain!
Dec 16th
KItty came home this morning. I removed the bandage for him and lots of his fur came out along with it… pain!
Had to take out the needle out too… one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
There was so much blood that came out, but it stopped after applying pressure for about 5 minutes.
And I had nightmares last night about him falling over and over again. -.-” My maid said she had the same nightmares.. I think we’re both traumatised..
Oh well. At least he’s safe now.
Sigh…
Dec 16th
The kitty got himself into some expensive trouble again. He somehow managed to climb a tree 4 storeys high (family’s hypothesis is that another cat scared him). My neighbour alerted us that kitty was stuck in a tree. We ran to see him… and he was meowing quite desperately.
While trying to come down by jumping from branch to branch, he lost grip and fell. I saw him fall…
He landed on his side with a super duper loud thud, and a painful meow.
His mouth was full of blood, and he ran underneath a car to hide. Too traumatised, I think.
Rushed him to Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital… the parents almost stopped me cos they think that he looked fine.
But I couldn’t risk it. I mean, c’mon, he fell 4 storeys and your main concern is saving money?! I wouldn’t risk his life to save money, for goodness’ sake. Money can always be earned. Kitty’s life, once lost, can never come back.
So I drove him to the hospital with Tugs (my maid, who loves kitty loads too). He had to be injected and put on this drip thing… there was blood everywhere..
So far, what I know is:
1. No bones were fractured.
2. Lungs and major organs were not ruptured.
I’m really, really relieved that he didn’t die or crack anything important. I almost cried when I heard him land with that thud. But there were injuries to his liver and kidneys… and the status of his bladder is unknown, i.e. there could be a rupture…
I can only stay home and wait for the call now.
I’m also $600 poorer. That’s like almost all my savings gone. Yah lah, I’m not much of a saver. I’m feeling a little disappointed that my parents didn’t offer to subsidise anything. I know Kitty is my cat and all, but I dunno… it’s not like I’m earning money and refusing to pay… all that I have is what I’ve saved from my allowance leh. =\
Kitty, you can’t afford to get injured anymore ok! I have no more money to spend like this (seriously)!
I really regret not thinking of pulling a mattress below the tree to cushion the impact… I feel like it’s my fault I stood below the tree and made kitty feel like coming down asap.
If only I was a little quicker in my thinking.. then kitty wouldn’t have to be suffering right now.
It feels like winter

It’s so cold and chilly nowadays. I love it! I wore a jacket for the whole of yesterday and it was so snuggly. <3
3 happy things
Dec 14th
First, the new Jurong Point is cool!
Thank you, cool people of Guthrie GTS Limited and Lee Kim Tah Holdings Limited!
Finally, someone realised that going Orchard and other central areas from Ulu Batok to shop gets majorly tiring! JP has soo many new (and cool) shops now! Lots of new cosmetic counters too hahaha. I’m happy. *gives Jurong Point hug*
Second, nails!
Used the nail polish I bought from KL and I am enlightened. I used to think that those matt looking nail polishes would look horrible. I was sooo wrong.
My nails look like they were professionally manicured, hee hee! I think. Well, maybe not professional-professional. But it’s usually how my nails look after I go for those $12 manicures. Good enough.
Ahh, more money to buy other things. What a wonderful feeling.
Third and last, I popped my Wii cherry few nights ago while staying over at Chong Han’s place! And I think… that…
Wii is super fun!
(Embarrassingly enough) My arms are aching now from all the faux swimming, faux badminton, faux track relays, faux boat rowing, and faux trampoline jumping.
I don’t think I’ve ever exercised my arms that much before, like ever.
On a totally unrelated note, Chong Han’s voodoo doll is cute.
The end.
KL Trip!
Dec 10th
Went to KL with part of the extended family plus the boyfriend. I stupidly forgot to bring my camera along, so I have close to zero photos, save for a few phone taken ones.
Had dinner at some vietnam restaurant on the first day… and everything was served with vegetables and vermicelli.
Felt like a rabbit by the end of the meal.
The parents and the boyfriend and I were supposed to climb some mountain on Monday, but it got cancelled last minute. Phew!
Made up for the lack of exercise with shopping. Hahaha. Shopping is arguably more tiring than mountain climbing, okay!
They have this shopping centre, Pavillion, that is like Takashimaya and Paragon and Wisma and CK Tangs and Wheelock combined.
The Xmas tree at the shopping centre.
Okay and that’s about all the photos I have.
Bah. I resolve to bring my camera everywhere from now on. E.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e and ALL THE TIME!
