Zonked out.

Feeling dead tired. Have presentation at 10:30 am. Meeting groupmates at 10 am. It’s now 9:50 am.

I hate presentations that require formal wear. I hate uncomfortable heels! I want to be a tai tai. T_T

Driving to Changi Airport: A very yawn thing to do.

The parents are finally back from their trip.

Set off from my house at 12:15 am, and reached the airport at 12:40 am sharp! I’ve never been this on time, hahaha. The first thing I saw on the board was that their arrival time got postphoned to 12:54 am. YAWN.

What to do at Changi Airport alone? Eat lor. Went to the nearest available eating place, which happened to be Delifrance. Don’t really like it, but… the next available alternative was Burger King, 200 meters away. Mehz. Wendy is trying to go organic. Begone, unhealthy food!

My egg mayo crossiant set.

By the time I finished eating at 1:10 am, the plane still hasn’t landed. I was so bored out of my wits I started having a mental conversation with myself.

“Very long hor.”

“Quite cold also.”

“Good thing I brought jacket.”

“I wonder what would happen if I ran into the luggage area.”

This continued for a long time, but I don’t think I should bore anyone with further details, haha. They finally arrived at 1:25 am, 45 minutes after the original arrival time.

My daddy was so proud that they were the only ones with someone coming to fetch them, that he kept telling their fellow tour friends, “Yah, my daughter” with a big grin on his face. -_-” He’s quite cute sometimes.

I tried to curl my hair before going to the airport because eh, it was like 11:30 pm and way too early to set off, but way too late to do anything substantial. First time I used my VS curling tongs, which I bought like… er… 2 years ago or something.

It was quite a failure.

No effect leh. I’m not sure what exactly I’m supposed to do with it.

Felicia and Wendy… Separated at birth?

Titanic 2 – The Tragic Tale of Haagen and Dazs

Due to budget constraints, we were unable to contract Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet for our exciting new sequel. We sincerely thank Haagen and Dazs for this opportunity to work with them on their last movie. We are also pleased to offer an exclusive screencap of our latest production!

We give our utmost respect to these talented actors for their sacrifice for art. They will be dearly missed. Interested parties may attend their memorial service at NTU Hall 12 Dustbin.

Elephant draws self-potrait

I’m so in awe of its intelligence, and yet a bit saddened that such clever animals are being kept captive by us and deprived of their natural life.

It’s smart enough to actually draw himself, but imagine how this will be exploited to no end to generate revenue for the zoo he is in. Sure, he can draw. But does he want to do it every single day at say, 2:30 pm, 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm? What if he doesn’t feel like drawing one day? I shudder to think about what might happen to him.

I pray that he’s happy…

FYI, Elephants are one of the only 4 species that have self-awareness, along with humans, dolphins and apes. This means that when they look in a mirror, they know they’re seeing themselves and not another animal. (Which is what my dog Maomao thinks… he has since learnt to ignore that annoying dog who copies his every move.)

Read this article for more interesting information on elephants and their self-awareness. :)
